Artist statement: “I was thinking about the combination of the warmth of the city lights and the cold of the snow. The colors of the bright snow and the bright yellow lights complement each other and it is the highlight of this painting. It’s a comparison of natural beauty which is the snow laying on the trees and the beauty of the human-made buildings.”
