Carol Morgan, Deputy Director for Education at ArtsConnection and Jennifer Stengel-Mohr of Queens College, New York will discuss findings from the research on our DELLTA program (Developing English Language Literacy through the Arts), which reaches English Language Learners and their teachers in 15 New York City public schools. link
ArtsConnection’s DELLTA program (Developing English Language Literacy Through the Arts) has delivered positive results showing “significant” progress made by DELLTA students as compared to those who did not participate in the program. link
“iTheatrics,” says Tennen, citing the organization that centers on musical theater education, “conducts a series of professional development workshops for the teachers to help them with set and costume design, staging and music. This intensive investment in the production teams builds program capacity and ensures success well beyond the initial life of the program.
