CONNECTED ARTS NETWORK (CAN)

In the 2022/23 school year, we offered a 7-part training series on Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility practices in partnership with the NYC Office of Arts and Special Projects and the Connected Arts Networks (CAN) as part of their five-year initiative to create nationwide virtual Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) with educators in visual arts, music, theater, dance and media arts.

After the success of last year’s workshops with NYC Department of Education arts teachers, we’ve been asked to offer an additional 8-part in-person series as well as online learning modules to support CAN Professional Peer Learning Communities.

We are proud to be a part of this initiative launched by The National Art Education Association (NAEA), in partnership with the Educational Theater Association (EdTA), the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), and the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO) to build a sustainable model for arts educators to better serve students.
